“He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”” ‭‭ {Psalm‬ ‭46:10‬} • • This week has been long and filled with mental and emotional and physical pain. I wasn’t able to get many workouts in, but last night at #revontheroad I was reminded why that’s okay and why I workout in the first place. • • My fitness journey isn’t about me, it’s about honoring God and bringing glory to Him. • • The workout last night was easy, but as I was told to put my body in “a posture of humility and strength,” I was reminded that it’s only through God’s grace I am able to move it at all, and my strength comes from Him alone. At the beginning of the session we were told to have faith that this would do more than a ten mile run. And it did. I was reminded and encouraged in the rest, peace and joy our bodies need [physically and spiritually] to fight the good fight of the faith. In the end, that fight is all the truly matters. • • • • • • • • • • #steadfast #livesteadfast #gettingpeoplemoving #missiontomove #workoutworship #joyinthejourney #fitnessismywitness #faithandfitness #fitfromtheinsideout #fitnesscoach #getfit #fitlife #healthyliving #surrender #bestill #fightthegoodfight #revelationwellness

“Exercise daily in God—no spiritual flabbiness, please! Workouts in the gymnasium are useful, but a disciplined life in God is far more so, making you fit both today and forever.” {1 Timothy 4:7-8 (MSG)} • • • My second blog post is now available. “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” {Romans 12:2} The hardest part of starting a new habit is getting started. There’s always going to be an excuse to push it off another day. The only way to truly change your life is to change it from the inside out. Once we are given new life in Christ and our mind is renewed, we have a new life and a new purpose. When we understand our bodies are a temple for Him, it gives a whole new meaning to exercise. It’s not about comparisons or looking good, it’s about being a good steward of what He has given us and keeping our bodies in good working order to serve Him.
Just because you blew it [workout plan, diet, Bible reading plan, resolutions, etc] once doesn’t mean you have to give up. This time doesn’t have to be like the other times. Your past does not define you. God has given us in His strength and grace the ability to move forward, but you can’t do that if you’re looking behind you. What choice are you going to make today? • • • You can hear more on this in the sermon, The Process. (link in bio)
